Southern Foodways Alliance

Kudos to Marcie Ferris and Emily Wallace, who recently delivered talks at the 16th annual Southern Foodways Symposium. Marcie’s talk was titled “Women Have Long Ruled the Southern Roost,” and Emily’s talk was titled “Eugenia Duke Made Her Name Selling Sandwiches, Not Mayonnaise.” The symposium included a Tabasco Luncheon, a Catfish Dinner, and “40 Acres Worth of Vegetables.” We’re getting hungry just thinking about it.
