The Center for the Study of the American South invites applications for course enhancement grants for courses that are being offered Fall 2012 or Spring 2013. These grants of up to $1,000 are intended to enhance students’ encounters with the history, contemporary experience, diverse cultures, and global context of the American South in transformative ways. Proposals may address that goal through such items as guest presentations, field expeditions, community-engagement activities, performances, student publications, or other innovative course elements.
