Big Fish is based upon the novel Big Fish: A Novel of Mythic Proportions by author Daniel Wallace, who will be speaking immediately after the screening. It was adapted for the screen by American screenwriter and film director, John August. It is a story about a son trying to learn more about his dying father by reliving stories and myths his father told him about himself and was directed by Tim Burton with actors Ewan McGregor, Albert Finney and Billy Crudup.
Tickets are available at the Varsity Theater box office. The box office hours are Tue-Fri 6:30-9:30, Sat 2:00-9:30 & Sun 4:30-7:30. The cost is $3 for the general public and free for UNC OneCard holders.
