Nathan Bowles’ music, previously featured on NPR, has been called “hypnotic” and “mesmerizing,” “a Terrence Malick film in a handful of strings.” When not performing with the Black Twig Pickers or Pelt, Nathan explores the possibilities of the clawhammer banjo as a solo artist, inspired in part by his childhood home on the Virginia side of the Great Dismal Swamp. His third solo album, recently released by the Paradise of Bachelors record label, is titled Whole & Cloven.
This event is free and open to the public. Bring a picnic blanket and stay for a while!
