Faculty Course Enhancement Grants – The Center for the Study of the American South invites applications for course enhancement grants. These grants of up to $1,000 are intended to enhance students’ encounters with the history, contemporary experience, diverse cultures, and global context of the American South in transformative ways. Proposals may address that goal through such items as guest presentations, field expeditions, community-engagement activities, performances, student publications, or other innovative course elements. Applications will be considered on or after August 15th for the fall semester and on or after November 2nd for the spring semester.
Visiting Scholars – Individuals who hold appointments at other academic or research institutions and are visiting to work with a particular faculty member or principal investigator on a research project but do not receive a paid appointment at UNC-Chapel Hill. Applications will be considered on or after August 15th for the fall semester and on or after November 2nd for the spring semester.
