Grant-Writing Workshop with National Endowment for the Humanities

Faculty members, students, and scholars involved in the humanities are invited to attend a free grant-writing workshop led by program officers from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH). The workshop will be held on Tuesday, March 19th from 9:30-12:00 in the Incubator Room of Hyde Hall. This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Dr. Daniel Sack, Senior Program Officer in the Division of Research Programs, and Dr. Caroline Cortina, Senior Program Officer in the Division of Public Programs, will provide an overview of NEH programs and initiatives, offer strategies for application writing, and facilitate a mock peer review panel session. NEH is an independent grant-making agency of the United States government dedicated to supporting research, education, preservation, and public programs in the humanities. NEH grants and fellowships are highly competitive; approximately 16 percent of applicants across all programs receive funding.
Dr. Sack will also be available to meet one-on-one with university affiliates interested in applying to NEH grant programs, to discuss possible projects and application strategies. Appointments are available 1-5 pm on Monday, March 18 and 1-4 pm on Tuesday, March 19.
