Marcie Cohen Ferris is interim director of CSAS. Professor Emeritus in UNC’s American Studies Department, Ferris joined the CSAS team in July 2022 and will work with CSAS until the end of June 2023. In her Southern Studies teaching and scholarship, Ferris has worked closely with CSAS for over twenty years. She also serves as a faculty editor of CSAS’s quarterly journal Southern Cultures.
