Arts Everywhere, the College of Arts & Sciences, Southern Futures, the Gillings School of Global Public Health and the Hussman School of Journalism and Media are issuing a Call for Ideas, asking student creatives from across campus to help Carolina address these challenges through the power of student innovation.
They are asking students to propose creative products that combine the best available science with creative forms and messages to show the power and significance of caring for self and others. All forms of creative media are welcome (video, art installation, graphic design, literary, dance, music, XR, etc.).
Semi-finalists who are invited to submit further materials will receive a modest honorarium for their work: $100/individual or $150/group. Final projects selected will not only be installed/premiered on campus beginning in early August, they will also be highlighted across our partners’ social media platforms. Prizes for those selected as finalists: $1,500/individual project or $2,000/group, in addition to financial support for materials to complete their projects.
Materials will be reviewed in two rounds and should be submitted to Arts Everywhere via email (email@example.com) by midnight on Wednesday, July 1st or midnight on Wednesday, July 15. Note: those submitted by July 1st will receive early consideration for selection as a semi-finalist. Please include “Call for Ideas” and your last name or organization name in the subject line of your email.
