APRIL 25, 2010: MIDTOWN DICKENS, SHIRLÉ HALE, AND PIERCE FREELON. MODERATED BY GLENN BOOTHE.

Join Catherine Edgerton and Kym Register of Midtown Dickens, Shirlé Hale of Free Electric State, and Pierce Freelon of The Beast as Music on the Porch continues to explore the connections between place, space, and songwriting in the south. This Music on the Porch will be emceed by none other than Glenn Boothe of the Local 506.  Catherine Edgerton and Kym Register bring an earnest, clever exploration of “folk” music to the porch; Pierce Freelon of the Beast tells it like it is with beat, rhythm, and rhyme, and the catchy rock-based gems of Shirlé Hale compliment her strikingly beautiful lyrics and voice.
