In connection with William R. Ferris’s Southern Music Class, CSAS proudly presents SOUTHERN JOURNEY, a series of noon interviews and performances featuring:

John Clark of The Hot Nuts (September 17): the classic college-circuit rhythm & blues band started in 1955 in Chapel Hill.

Jim Mills (October 1): Grammy Award–winning bluegrass banjo player, formerly with Ricky Skaggs, Dolly Parton, and Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver.

Alfred “Uganda” Roberts (October 29): legendary New Orleans percussionist formerly with Professor Longhair and Dr. John.

All events will take place in the Pleasants Family Assembly Room, Wilson Library, UNC-CH. Directions and parking.
